Rains are very rare in the Middle East. When it rains it will rain cats and dogs. In Oman, Wadis used to flood and used to disrupt the vehicle movement. When it rains in the mountains, the wadis get a heavy flow of water and sludge. Rains are always celebrated in the middle east. Due to the strong civic system, water logged streets are roads are a rarity.
